We unfortunately work in metric terms, so please convert empiric measurements to metric ones. 1 inch = 2,54 cm 1 pound = 2.2 kg. For example if your height is 5 feet 3 inches convert as follows = 63 x 2.54 = 160.02 cm = 1.60 m. If your weight is 160 pounds = 160 ÷ 2.2 = 72.72kg. Working out your body mass indexTake your height - lets say 1.75 m ( 175 cm) and multiply it by itself. [1.75 x 1.75 = 3.0625 ] Next take your weight - lets say 73 kg ( about 160.0 pounds) and divide it by the result from your height calculation.
